MCN require your personal information in order to assist with your claim following a motor vehicle incident. When you provide the information required it is understood that we will use it only for the purpose above. THE INFORMATION WE REQUIRE TO PROCESS A CLAIM:
In most circumstances MCN will ask for: Full name of the registered owner of the vehicle, address, telephone numbers and email address. We also require specific driver information which may include full name, personal address, telephone numbers, occupation, date of birth and the circumstances of the incident.
In some circumstances and particularly if requested by insurers MCN may require the following information:- Copies of V5 (Log Book), insurance certificate and details of any other parties involved. On occasions the insurers may require bank details in order to facilitate a payment.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION:
MCN use your information to assist with an insurance claim following a motor vehicle incident. The information can also be used to apply relevant services associated with your claim such as: the supply of replacement vehicles, referral to Solicitors to assist with a personal injury claim, vehicle repairers and engineers. This may also include: Repair funders, third parties involved in the claim, their Solicitor or representatives, medical teams, the Police or other investigators or fraud prevention agencies.
HOW WE COLLECT YOUR INFORMATION:
MCN will receive your information by the filling in of forms on paper / website or by communicating with us by telephone, email, post or fax.
MCN also receive personal information from others with whom we work closely and whom are entitled to share information related to an on-going claim. In these cases the information is shared responsibly in order that the process may be completed i.e. Insurance companies, vehicle repairers and is done so with companies compliant with the current GDPR requirements.
DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION:
MCN may be required to share your information with our approved service providers and agents in order to process your claim. Those involved in the process are likely to be Insurers, vehicle repairers, engineers, hire companies, recovery and funding agents and Solicitors.

MCN will only hold your information for as long as is necessary to complete your claim, legal, regulatory or fraud prevention requirements. MCN regularly review records to ensure that information is only kept as long as is legally required. Information is disposed of in a secure manner.
MARKETING:
MCN will never contact you with the intention of promoting services or products. Your information is only required to process your insurance claim.
SECURITY AND STORAGE:
MCN take the security and storage of your personal information very seriously and it is important to us to maintain the highest of standards in the use and storage.
Information is stored on secure servers and protected through a combination of physical and electronic access controls, firewall technology and market standard security software.
